Fresh Mango Banana Smoothie
Thick, creamy, and naturally sweet, this mango banana smoothie tastes like a tropical holiday in a glass. It takes five minutes, needs no added sugar, and works as a quick breakfast or a healthy afternoon snack.
Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: none | Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 1 large ripe mango, peeled and chopped (or 1 1/2 cups frozen mango)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup milk (any kind)
- 1/2 cup plain yoghurt
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
Method
- Add the mango, banana, milk, yoghurt, and ice to a blender.
- Blend on high for 45 to 60 seconds, until completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste and add honey only if your fruit is not very sweet. Blend for a few more seconds.
- Pour into tall glasses and serve at once.
Tips
Frozen mango makes the smoothie extra thick and cold without watering it down. For a protein boost, add a spoonful of peanut butter or a scoop of protein powder. If it is too thick, add a little more milk; if it is too thin, add a few more frozen mango pieces.
