Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information QuickPlate Hub (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you visit quickplatehub.online (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

What data we collect

We collect two kinds of information. First, information you give us directly: your name and email address when you leave a comment or send us a message through our contact form, and the text of the comment or message itself. Second, information collected automatically when you browse the Site: your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you visit, and the time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and analytics tools, as described below.

Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and comment text you enter, plus your IP address and browser information, to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your comment and your profile picture are visible to the public.

Contact form

If you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address and the message itself, so that we can read it and reply to you. We do not share contact form messages with third parties except as described in this policy, and we never publish your email address on the Site.

Cookies

We use cookies — small files stored on your device — to remember your preferences, to keep the Site working properly, and to understand how visitors use the Site. For example, if you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name and email address in a cookie so that you do not have to enter them again next time. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. The Site will still work if you block cookies, although some features may be less convenient.

Advertising cookies and third-party advertising partners

We show advertising on this Site. Our advertising partners, including RevBid and its header-bidding partners, and Google, may use cookies and similar technologies to show you advertising that is relevant to you. These partners may collect information about your visits to this Site and to other websites, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you viewed, in order to select and measure advertising. This does not include your name, email address or any other information that directly identifies you, unless you choose to provide it.

How to opt out of personalised advertising

You can opt out of personalised advertising in several ways. You can change the advertising settings of the partners listed above — for Google, visit https://adssettings.google.com. You can also visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at https://optout.networkadvertising.org, or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page at https://optout.aboutads.info. You can also adjust your browser settings to block third-party cookies. Opting out does not stop advertising altogether, but the advertising you see will no longer be personalised to your interests.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this Site may include embedded content, for example videos. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited that website directly, and those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

Analytics

We use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the Site — for example which pages are popular and how long people stay. Analytics data is grouped together and does not identify individual visitors.

How long we retain your data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely, so that we can recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically. Contact form messages are kept only for as long as we need them to answer you. Analytics and cookie data is kept only for the period needed for the purposes described above.

Your rights over your data

You have rights over your personal data. You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you have left comments on this Site, you can request an exported file of your personal data, or request that we erase it. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for legal, administrative or security purposes. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via the Contact page.
